Through a holistic energy management approach that combines optimisation of power generation, power consumption, and crew behavior, significant fuel savings are possible for vessels of all types and sizes without sacrificing operational safety and efficiency. The technologies needed to achieve this are already available; it only requires the decision to start using them in order to reduce OPEX and emissions.
